Job Description:

-Prepare and implement early childhood education programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children

-Guide and help children develop good eating, bathing, and dressing habits

-Knowledge of the Day Nurseries Act

-Set rules for behavior

-Build relationships with and collaborate with colleagues and other community child service providers

-Lead children's activities by telling them stories, teaching them songs, and taking them to places of interest in the area

-Provide the opportunity to express their creativity through art, role play, music, and physical activity

-Observe children identify learning difficulties or behavioral problems, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisor

-Knowledge of licensing regulations

-Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children

-Assess children's abilities, skills, interests, and needs, and discuss children's progress or problems with parents and other staff.

Requirements:

- Education: A two- to a four-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child development is required

- Experience: At least 2 years of experience working with children is required. 

- First aid required - if the candidate does not have it, he must take the 5-hour course

- Work conditions and physical capabilities: Sitting, standing, and walking; bending, squatting, kneeling; Repetitive tasks.

Important information: The candidate will work Monday to Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. including a one-hour unpaid break. The number of working hours varies between 35 and 40 hours per week.
